Olifants River Lodge is situated between Middelburg and Witbank on the R555. Within a 200km radius of Johannesburg, Pretoria, Polokwane, Hazyview, Standerton, Nelspruit and the KNP.
From Johannesburg / Pretoria - Toll road
Take the N4 / N12 Emalahleni Highway. After
the Middelburg / Emalahleni Shell Ultra City, take the first offramp (Middelburg
West / Van Dyksdrift). Turn left towards Middelburg, carry on until you get to the
4 way stop at the traffic control (R555 Old Emalahleni / Middelburg Road). Turn left
towards Witbank for about 4 km. On your left hand side will be the Telkom / FM Towers
and on your right hand side the Presidentsrus turnoff. Turn right here and travel
for 11 km on the gravel road and you will be at the Lodge.
From Nelspruit
Take the
N4 towards Middelburg. Take the R575 offramp (Middelburg West / Van Dyksdrift ).
Turn right towards Middelburg, carry on until you get to the 4 way stop at the traffic
control (R555 Old Witbank / Middelburg Road). Turn left towards Emalahleni for about
4 km .On your left hand side will be the Telkom / FM Towers and on your right hand
side the Presidentsrus turnoff. Turn right here and travel for 11 km on the gravel
road and you will be at the Lodge.
From Johannesburg/Pretoria via Witbank/Emalahleni
Take the N12 towards Witbank/Emalahleni this becomes the N4 near Witbank/Emalahleni. Take the Mandele (President) street turnoff. The Ridge Casino is on the left hand side. At the robot turn left into Mandela Street. Go on to OR Tambo street and turn right. Carry on with this road until you come to a 4-way stop (Kentucky and Sasol garage in front of you) and turn right on the R555 road, Voortrekker street (Old Witbank/Middelburg road). Travel on this road for 18km on and on your right hand side you will see the Telkom / FM Tower, on the left hand side will be a road sign saying Presidentsrus, turn left into this road (gravel road). Travel for 11km and you will be at the Lodge.
